To celebrate World Book Day, masters of literature showed up on social media, commenting on current events with quotes from their books. Hundreds of comments got the Portuguese reading literary classics without even knowing it. The links in the bios directed everyone to Penguin's online store so that they could follow their stories by the book.
More than half of Portuguese people do not read a single book yearly. But they spend an average of two hours a day reading online: posts, reviews, and lots of comments. And two hours of reading a day would be enough to read 80 pages of a book.
